Parent Testimonials
Listen to what St. Anne parents are saying about why they send their children to our school:"We send our child to St. Anne Catholic School for good quality education, spiritual nourishment, and building a sense of character. We know that he is well cared for and loved at St. Anne." (Chris & Susan Hilditch)
"Being new to Sumter and non-Catholic, we were not sure what to expect at St. Anne's. Since attending St. Anne's, our daughter has truly grown in her education as well as spiritually." (Suzy Allred)
"St. Anne has been wonderful for our family. We are a military family and, as such, it is important that we find friendly, supportive communities to associate with quickly. St. Anne has been the place for us! We have had 2 short years here but we were immediately embraced as a family. The morals taught as well as the academics have been right in line with our family values. This school has been the best part of our time in Sumter." (Liisa Rose)
"My son attends Pre-K, and I am amazed at the amount of growth he displays daily. He is one of twelve children in his class and the two outstanding teachers pay close attend to each child. Lot of ABC's and 1,2,3's as well as lots of art, music, and play. My son feels special at St. Anne's and he loves going each day. The teachers also focus on good behavior and socializing the kids, and it shows in his interaction with other children and at home. The faculty and parents are very involved. St. Anne's is a great value and gives me true peace-of-mind." (George J. Konoval)
"St. Anne has been a place of refuge for my child and me, a warm caring environment where I know my child is safe, respected, and nurtured. I have been very impressed with her academic, spiritual and emotional development during her five years here at St. Anne. The teachers are the best! Their creativity and devotion to the students truly set them apart. As a single mom, I have had to sacrifice financially to send my child to private school, but it has been worth every penny!" (Janet Caldwell)
"We have been part of the St. Anne School family for 12 years. Four of our five children have attended St. Anne School. We are grateful for the caring compassion and concern of many teachers and staff.
Over the years our children have been encouraged to achieve in academics, arts, and athletics. All along, the spiritual growth of our children has been of prime importance. We firmly believe that there is no greater gift we can give them than a firm foundation in their faith and what better place for that than St. Anne Catholic School!" (Rick and Sue Lavergne)
"We have been a part of the St. Anne family for 5 years. Our children love the school, their friends, and their teachers. I trust the staff and admire their dedication to bringing my children to their fullest potential. St. Anne School means rigorous academic standards, love for God, and respect for families of all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. We embrace diversity and benefit greatly from being members of a wonderfully diverse family.
The sports programs embody fun and fitness, with the biggest emphasis on fun and good sportsmanship. We do sacrifice to send our 3 children to St. Anne School, and even commute 30 minutes one-way to allow our children to be a part of something wonderful." (Lisa K. Floyd)
"Teachers who care and a curriculum filled with faith…that's why I send my child to St. Anne." (Rodney Alan)
"St. Anne Catholic School assists with providing a loving environment for my child. The school faculty understands the needs of the military environment and the civilian community." (Penny Twitty)
"We moved to Sumter in January, 2008. After visiting several schools, both public and private, what a relief to find St. Anne! We have not been disappointed since. The lower school curriculum is very challenging. Yet when our son needs extra help his teachers are happy to give it. As a result, his self confidence has risen along with his grades. The children are taught to be very supportive of each other. Situations where discipline is needed are dealt with swiftly and fairly.
We are not Catholic, and that has not been an issue at all. The universal Christian beliefs we value are supported. We highly recommend St. Anne to anyone with young children." (Brittingham Family)
"I love the family atmosphere at St. Anne. The smaller class size gives the parents and teachers a great opportunity for a closer relationship. It is very apparent that the teachers and staff at St. Anne care deeply about the "whole child" and not just about educating them." (Jennifer Curran)
"One of the many things I love about St. Anne Catholic School is how every teacher-not just your child's teacher-plays a role in your child's educational and spiritual development. The teachers work hard to make sure that your child doesn't 'slip through the cracks' and can reach his/her greatest potential." (Maria Sokie)
"I love the sense of community a small Catholic school offers. My daughter has benefited from small class sizes and academic challenges at St. Anne's. The curriculum is top notch. The children are learning academically and spiritually." (Nancy Lehman)
"I love St. Anne Catholic School because it is safe and because of its low student-teacher ratio. Our children have grown spiritually and academically. The teachers are very caring and wonderful. They offer tutoring to those who may need it. We choose to make the financial sacrifice because of the safety of our children. St. Anne prepares the students for high school and college, which is really important for any parent who wishes to see their child/ren succeed. St. Anne Rules!" (Deanna Zito)
"St. Anne School is an extended part of my family! I have had my children enrolled at St. Anne's for over four years and I am always overwhelmed with the knowledge they gain at St. Anne's. But what continues to impress me is the respect they gain for others and the love of God. I have three children attending St. Anne's and-on all levels-the education, love, respect and discipline they get is exceptional. I have had my children in three other Christian schools and St. Anne's exceeds my expectations!" (Vanya Hines)
"I love the parent involvement, class size, faculty commitment, and Christian environment. My children have benefited from St. Anne by gaining greater self-esteem and self-confidence and by wanting to learn." (Mr. & Mrs. Ruben Conyers)
"What I love about St. Anne is the small and caring atmosphere. My child has received a strong religious and academic education. He has benefited from the one-on-one attention he has received from his Kindergarten teacher.
The caring and dedicated staff and volunteers are one of the greatest strengths of St. Anne.
We make the financial sacrifice in order to send our child to St. Anne because of the smaller school atmosphere, the strong academic record, and the religious education." (Christopher & Amy Roberts)
"We are very pleased with the school's Christian values and education. In addition, it is very apparent that St. Anne School has teachers that care, parents that have similar values and expectations, and parents that are involved with their child's education. Most importantly, our child consistently tells us that she loves St. Anne School." (Jerry & Debbie Shadbolt)
"I love that St. Anne is a small, close-knit school. My children have been allowed to develop as individuals. They have become more confident students through the guidance of their teachers. They have been given space to make good choices as well as bad. St. Anne is our choice even through these economic times because they have found the balance between academics, social life and religion." (Allison Austin)
"As the mother of a "spirited" six-year-old, I knew immediately upon entering the Kindergarten classroom of Mrs. Amy Doneth that St. Anne's was the place for him to learn and grow. Not only is he getting a top-notch education from dedicated teachers who have years of experience, but he is also getting discipline with a dose of love. As the product of a Catholic school education that I deeply treasure, I am excited to see him have this opportunity. I also love the sense of community that is apparent here-both among the older and younger children and among the parents and teachers. My prayer for the school is that more of the Sumter Catholic community visit the school and consider it for their children. It is truly a gem!" (Amy Zalimas)
"I send my child to the Best School in the World because St. Anne's allows and encourages my child to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the greatest teacher in the universe. My child also learns to be Christ-like and gets a great education at the same time! I love the people at St. Anne's!" (Denise Owen)
"St. Anne Catholic School has a music program which is second to none! It is outstanding!" (Jeanie Crotts)
"At St. Anne the environment is safe, educational, and the children get lots of love. I feel that my child is being taught right and wrong in his surroundings. I feel comfortable sending him here and know that he is getting an excellent education." (Mandi LeMay)
"It is worth making the sacrifices necessary to send my daughter to St. Anne Catholic School because there is no other school as good or better than St. Anne's. I'm not from Sumter and I probed into many different schools. This was my only choice. No other school came close to what I wanted and what I feel my daughter needs. St. Anne's is stable, faithful, rigorous, and welcoming of all people. I've talked to many people that are in one way or another connected to St. Anne's and I never heard anything negative. In fact, everybody would give the school a rating of "superlative" in all areas (teachers, students, curriculum, extracurricular activities, etc.) Since I've enrolled my daughter into St. Anne's, I've been extremely pleased with her experiences, her teachers, and the principals. Thanks for all (all of you) do!! (Elena Fishburne)
"At St. Anne School everyone feels like a family. The older children are always looking out for the younger ones. I love that EVERY morning at assembly they sing a Christian song, say a prayer, and say the Pledge of Allegiance. It is the best way to start the day!
The academic curriculum is top notch. Reading is emphasized early on. I have been amazed at the progress of my child's reading level. A good foundation in reading makes for a great building block for the other subjects.
Learning about God everyday is important to me too. Religion gives a wonderful moral and ethical foundation that lasts for life.
In some instances, our children spend more time with their teachers and schoolmates than they do with their parents. So it is important to know that my child is most likely spending time with those that share the same values as I do.
At St. Anne Catholic School I know my child is getting a great education AND at the same time being treated with love, respect, and kindness." (Deidra J. Hines)
"St. Anne's is the school of our choice for several reasons. My husband came to St. Anne's as a child and graduated from St. Francis Xavier, so he knows firsthand the importance of this school. He has wonderful memories here. We also love the one-on-one attention our daughter receives and the many things she has learned with social skills and academics. Generations of our family will continue at St. Anne's." (Mitch & Melissa Stewart)
"I send my daughter to St. Anne because of the small class sizes, the one-on-one attention, the Christian values, and the special caring staff. [It is] a better education for the money. The St. Anne family welcomes everyone - Catholic and non-Catholic-- and makes them feel at home. Also, the students look great in the uniforms." (Saleka Mosquero)
