Terrific Kids -- and volunteers -- recognized at Awards Assembly
The following students received Terrific Kids Awards during the morning assembly on Friday, January 8th in recognition of exemplary behavior during the month of December: Mary Helen Hines, Aanna Guastella, Katherine Nolan, Jaree Riley, Ashauna Leverette, David Floyd, Megan Bishoff, Ethan Mock, Jada Parker, Makenna Hageman, Anna Migliori, Crystal Moore, Oscar Floyd, Riley Fast, Rebecca Eaddy, Karsten Hageman, Tyler Davis, Leighann Glass, and Katie Olsen.
Mrs. Veronica Moore received the St. Anne Star Award for the extraordinary amount of time and energy she spent helping out with the Santa Workshop program in December.
St. Anne Wins SCISA Regional Spelling Bee
Several students represented St. Anne Catholic School in the SCISA regional spelling bee competition held at Wilson Hall on January 14th. St. Anne won the competition by accumulating the most points out of the ten competing schools.
Jacob Crotts and Katherine Lehman won their age groups and will advance to the state spelling bee on February 17th. David Crotts, Carl Lehman, and Anne Marie Kildron placed third in their age groups. Representatives to the regional competition were: Anna Cannon and Makenna Hageman (3rd grade), David Crotts and Anna Migliori (4th grade), Riley Fast and Carl Lehman (5th grade), Karsten Hageman and Anne Marie Kildron (6th grade), Rachel Caldwell and Jacob Crotts (7th grade), and Thomas Hart and Katherine Lehman (8th grade).
